Gena Bessire

​

Gena Bessire is a Christian author of multiple novels. Her stories are written in several genres, including contemporary suspense, contemporary small town, and the late 1800s. They have her signature dose of humor and romance, no matter the genre. Look for her stories to be published soon.

She grew up telling stories to her siblings, cousins, and the children she babysat. Her mind is always humming with new and exciting adventures that beg to be written down. That drive to create and mold new worlds, people, and plotlines hasn't lessened as an adult. Now, she writes inspirational romance novels, a mix of her favorite things: God and His steadfast faithfulness, humor, adventure, falling in love, and happily ever afters.

She has a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with majors in both Math and Reading from Eastern Washington University. That is where she met her handsome and brilliant husband, and their Happily Ever After--umm--very real and busy life began. After a few years teaching preschool, she “retired” to stay home and raise their growing family.

When not crafting the next perfect scene for her unsuspecting characters, she is a full-time wife, a mom of many, and the owner of a small craft empire. Check out her shop full of Bookish Creations here.

If she has time left in her day, she enjoys talking with her mom and siblings on the phone, exploring her gardens, cleaning forgotten spaces in her house, and curling up with a good book. But she often finds herself in front of her computer typing out a story that she can’t get out of her head because, honestly, she would rather be writing.

Gena lives in the beautiful and sometimes wild Washington State in the Pacific Northwest with her SUPER supportive husband, daughters, sons, and herd of cats.
